Regeneration of Heathfield Takes a Step Forward

As part of the wider regeneration of Heathfield Retail Park, UK property company, Ediston Real Estate, has revealed that it intends to bring forward plans which will reinvigorate this prominent shopping location to attract a wider range of retailers to the local area and help improve customers overall experience.

Reaffirming its commitment to enhancing Heathfield Retail Park and providing more facilities for Ayr residents. Ediston Real Estate is bringing forward a master plan for the park which will see the development of new retail space, the extension of units and a complete overhaul of the existing shop fronts, car park and landscaping – ultimately creating a more modern shopping experience for customers from far and wide.

As the only retail park in the area the proposed master plan for Heathfield Retail Park will help to significantly restore its position as a prime shopping destination in Ayr. This considerable investment will enhance Heathfield’s potential, attract a wider range of retailers to the area and encourage customers to spend more time locally.

Recent additions to the park, such as Costa and Maplin, which are due to open in March 2014, demonstrates that there is an interest in Heathfield and these plans will ensure that we can provide the right space to a wider range of retailers and are prepared to welcome more big brands to the area.

Ediston are to spend £9m in the refurbishment/redevelopment and will create an additional 100 jobs on completion of the works/opening of new retail space.
